About the Pumpkin Festival

Taking place in the scenic countryside town of Heidelberg Western Cape, just 275 km from Cape Town, The Giant Pumpkin Festival is a popular calendar event in the Hessequa region.

On Thursday, 4 April the Golf day will take place at the lovely Heidelberg Golfclub. The Festival itself kicks of on Friday, 5 April at 16:00 at the Heidelberg Showgrounds.

On Saturday, 6 April the festival continues.
Additionally, there is a 4X4- and Bowls competition Saturday morning.

The 2024 festival is greatly anticipated and artists like Appel and Brendan Peyper will be joining us. For the children we have the entertaining Lollos & Lettie visiting this year.

There are big prizes up for grabs at the Giant Pumpkin Festival, the biggest pumpkin will win R17,500. If the South African record is broken, you will win R30,000.
